Paris in a minute
Toured around in a spacious bus with a Moroccan tour guide, got to see the things you normally see on postcards..seemed really surreal in person, wish I coulda visited the Museum to see some paintings, but not enough time. I would give Paris 3 stars.

Morocco in a minute
Went to at least 15 cities..pretty much all of Morocizzo in a little van, spent some time with host families and sucked at my arabic speaking skills, stayed under a tent in the Sahara dessert, rolled down the dunes, rode camels, and watch the sun rise, learned more about identity and Muslim philosophy with Prof. Kamal, shopped like a maniac, ate so many tanjeens that I´m about to throw up and then left on a ferry, crossed the Mediterranean Sea and came to Granada, Spain. All in all, loved every minute of it. 4 stars, minus 1 because of the heat and the van.

Spain en uno minuto..whatevero
It´s ok. Too westernized. Every single Muslim person here is looked down at coz they hate immigrants, got some dirty looks here and there, pretty safe town, everythings a rip off, most stores here sell things from Morocco for 50 times more, night life starts at 11pm and goes on till 3-4am, ice cream everyday coz thats normal, free tapas when you order a drink so dinners cheap somehow, awesome shoes, sad how the Islamic heritage of this place is slowly being erased, went to Cordoba and saw how a beautiful Andalucian mosque was changed into a cathedral, visiting some host familes and students, living with a 41 yr old single feminist lady who reads taror cards and has a negro dolls in the living room which i think she uses for voo doo, can´t wait to talk to the Muslim people here and learn about how they live here, Spanish lesson flashbacks from high school and learning it again now, visiting Al Hambra next week and Madrid soon, everyóne including myself have got pollo pox..aka chicken pox, learned that even though if ppl had it before, they can have it again. Cant rate it yet.
Oh, and thanks to Africa, Im black now.
That´s it for now! |
